I hope this post finds you all prepared to start your winter/spring terms! Since I’m getting ready to go back to class myself, I thought I’d make a super duper quick post on some things I’m doing to start of the new semester on the right foot! 🙂
Hope this is helpful! Any other suggestions? Leave them in the comments and let me know!
Clean your apartment. Clean your room. Clean your desk! Removing clutter from the spaces in which you work and live can help you clear your mind and mentally prepare you for the semester to come!
Organize your backpack. Organize your school supplies. You don’t want to start off your first class by realizing you forgot your notebook at home or don’t have any pens to take notes in!
If you’re lucky enough to have your syllabuses or know any of your deadlines, this is a great time to put them in your planner/bullet journal! Having these dates written down before school starts will make sure that nothing sneaks up on you a few weeks in when the workload starts increasing.
Make sure that your outfit and lunch are put together the night before. This way, in case you’re having a little trouble waking up, you don’t have to be in such a rush in the morning. A rushed morning can make for a flustered, chaotic day.
Be sure to sleep early the night before. In fact, if you can try and correct your sleep schedule a few days before, it would be even better! Doing this will not only have you start off the semester well-rested and in a great mood, but it will also prevent yourself from falling asleep if you happen to have boring classes this semester. 🙂
Most importantly, reflect on the good and bad of last semester. A new semester is another chance at a new start. Sure, you can’t erase the grades you got last semester, but you can learn from whatever mistakes you made. Use this time to make goals for this semester, so it can be even better than the last!
Alrighty! That’s all I’ve been doing this past weekend in order to get ready for school. Hope everyone who is starting classes tomorrow (like me) have a great first day! For everyone else, enjoy the last few days of break! ❤
